Venmo - The Way-Back Payback
People often "forget" to pay their friends back for things, so we felt the need to remind them...publicly.
First, we took to Twitter to call out these so-called friends.
Then, we put up billboards in the offender's city if the debt remained unpaid.
We even gave our own Way-Back Payback by refunding tickets to a canceled concert.
In 1992, a pyrotechnic incident forced Metallica to cut a show short. The fans didn't get their money back, so we let them send us a photo of their ticket on Twitter, and we refunded the price to their Venmo account.
